Tee Martin, Mark Schlabaugh, Tony Barnhardt, and Bob Neal just hammered us hiring Lane Kiffin. Pisses me off because they were talking about he had no coaching experience and Schlabaugh said that he failed miserably with the Raiders. This was so one sided I taped it and will hold on to this for future reference. Guess they forgot Richt had not been a head coach ever! Mark Schlabaugh also said Coach O is not coming to TN and he wasn't sure Monte was coming either although it was just announced on ESPN.:realmad:

If true, and Tee had any hopes of returning to UT, he just peed on his corn flakes.

Go Vols.

They better hope Kiffin doesnt hold a grudge when it comes to sideline passes in the future. If he sets the c football world on fire they will all jump on the band wagon.

Yeah they hammered Miss St also, but in their defense, 21-38 in five years just won't get it.

What's surprising to me is that so many folks get defensive when faced with statements of fact.

People need to not be so defensive over the media coverage of this. Everyone has their opinions, and not all are going to tow the company line with this. Just be patient and have faith.

they would have been able to pick at any of the candidates, and believe me, they would have. it's what they do.

Tee was never in the mix as an Asst Coach at UT. With or without Fulmer.

Guys...CSS is replaying the AL/AU game...you must be watching a replay from Friday or Sat.
The show is based here in ATL and is not done on Sunday, I do not think.

And your knowledge of this? Considering the guy has started an unrivaled camp for the top mobile quarterbacks in the country, and is credited with helping get Boyd re-interested in us, then I'm all for him returning, and he's got coaching experience already with quarterbacks.

Been watching this a while and they talked about the last game against Kentucky and showed the highlights. Yes it is out of Atlanta and I think it is on Sunday nights at 8pm live.

perico, where have you seen his name in the mix for an assts job here at UT, other than on a message board?
Did he get a glance from Phil when we had three offensive openings last January? No
Phil knows Tee better than Lane.

CSS gives UT no respect. I think it is because of the university's deal with SportSouth. And they are so far up Georgia teams' posteriors they smell of alpo.

It wasn't discussed until after the change. I'm saying that we could do a lot worse than Martin as a qb coach. He has the resume.

It was just in the last weeks that it was even mentioned, and Martin spoke that he may be interested in an interview.

Barnhart cracks me up.... Him and Matthews, I swear, on their radio show in Nashville, you'd think they are on Fulmer's PR team.... " Tennessee is NOT THAT good of a job " .... " I'd rank Tennessee 5th in terms of good coaching jobs in the SEC alone " ....

Maybe that is why Tee made his comments, understanding that under Kiffin he had no chance of returning to U.T., while under Fulmer perhaps he had some chance, or thought he did.
