I haven't posted in months... but figured I'd drop in and say we need to make this game and the next one 2 of the loudest that Neyland has ever seen. So that means even if old farts tell you to sit down, keep standing and cheering. They'll shutup eventually. We need to show Oregon what football in the south is all about and prove to them what a really loud stadium of 100,000+ is truely all about. Who is with me?

Wasn't aware it had been lost!?!
Last i checked, we haven't won a meaningful game in Neyland since 2004...that is if you dont count Cal in 2006 which clearly doesn't count going off they're record at the end of the year..

If we can recreate the excitement and volume of Cal in 2006, we could beat about anybody from any point in history... Neyland was rocking that night. Let's hope that having another Top 10 Pac-10 team strolling into Neyland as double digit favorites get our boys ready. I'll be as ready in the seats as I was at said '06 blowout. GO VOLS!!!

The way I see it, if you're cheering loud enough, you can't hear them tell you to sit down.

In my experiences the last few visits...........

It has been a bit more flat.

I will admit that I started at UTK in '79. But I have NOT been impressed with the crowd support lately.

I hear it was better last Saturday, but wasn't there.
Give me some feedback.

I usually end up hoarse. I hope to have plenty of reasons to sing Rocky Top all game long!

If you've been watching long enough you know it's less rowdy than it once was!

I was just thinking....... Maybe its not as noisy because I'm going deaf from going to so many games at Neyland.

Who do I sue??

My first year up here was 2006, and the crowds for Cal, Florida, and LSU of that year have not been replicated since.

07 wasn't quite there
08 was boo bird city
09 wasn't that loud sans the UCLA game

This past weekend was a little dull. I understand we were playing UT Martin, but in 2006 when we played florida, the opening drive was the loudest I've ever heard. It was simply unbelievable. It was literally impossible to hear anything. Too bad it didn't last long. I hope we can replicate that... ALL game.
