Take your pick! This is tough

I can forget about 1 more regular season loss to the gumps if it means beating Georgia and going to the SECCG.

Problem with that is the possibility of losing to them again.

I'm glad I don't have to choose. The excitement of not knowing is half the fun. I know that's not what op is looking for so if I have to answer, I'll take beat Bama and get that out the way. Worry about errthang else next year.

11-1 season with a premiere bowl and ending streaks against Bama and Florida ain't nothing to complain about, wouldn't have as many or as big possible let downs and would set us up nicely for a huge year in 23.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

That goes back to my feeling that things have changed and the diehard, old school fans can't get over it. I would rather play them in Atlanta than play them in October because playing them in October may mean we don't get to Atlanta. If we beat them in October and make it to Atlanta, then we may face them again. Who would want to play them for nothing and then lose to them when it's for something?
Or even the possibility of having to play them again for the National Championship.

This thread screams…..I hate Bama more than I love Tennessee.

The answer is easy, whatever it takes to win the East and get to Atlanta. Can’t be SEC champs if you ain’t in the game.

We need to beat the gumps and Saban, I want this next game. Best chance we’ve had to beat them since the last time we actually did it.

Old school here, beat Bama, UGA can't spell football and there is no championship game, there is just this game, always the biggest game of the season.

Beat Bama lose to UGA might be the easiest route to the playoff. You think a 1 loss team that beat Bama doesn't make it?

I'm no expert by any stretch, but it seems to me that Alabama and Georgia have either regressed some this year, or some teams in the SEC are getting better. I don't see the dominance from them this year as was evident in the last few years. Keep Hooker upright Saturday, gain some yards on the ground, play good defense, I like our chances. Georgia is committed to ride with Bennett so I think defensive pressure will rattle him. We play in Athens, so it will be tough, but Tennessee has traveled well this year. I honestly think we have a great chance to beat them both. Heupel and staff have these guys playing in a whole nother mind set this year. I don't think they are in awe of anyone.
