We made lots of mistakes - drops, missed blocks, missed tackles, etc but the guys never gave up…they never got discouraged even while we were cussing referees, coaches and unfortunately some players…we have good team chemistry

We lose this game going away not so long ago. It would have been decided in the 3rd quarter. The leadership on this team is good…our culture is improving. We grow from previous experiences. And we fight until the final whistle.

Clock/game mismanagement at the end of regulation was a replay of the end of the UGA game. The difference was MSU was slightly less ready that we are to win a tough game in OT.

But you gotta be ok with a win on the road in the SEC. Dropped passes, turnovers, dumb mistakes, and not getting the run game going are troubling. That fumble early giving them a score and confidence really set the tone. Not great.

Overall, we are still not a strong team on the road. The good news is that we won … and we can get some stuff fixed.

That is such a hard place to play for your first road game, especially with a new to the SEC quarterback. No one can hear in a 50 mile radius of that place because of the unlawful cowbells. If you want to make bank in Starkville, become an audiologist. Their ears will be ringing for the next week for sure. They didn't give up though. In the end, that's all that matters.
