We have been begging, pleading, praying, screaming for a game like this. We were hoping for it two years ago, expecting it last year, and demanding it this year. Now we have it. What are your take aways?

Mine:
Never doubt the fight in this team.

We can close the deal.

The team believes in the coaching plan even when we fans don't.

Dobbs can be a great passer.

This offense thrives on explosive plays.

Shoop is the real deal

This team speed is top shelf

We have legit depth- even when it feels like we don't (Jumper)

looking at those florida players, coaches, and fans when a ton of bricks hit them in the face in the 2nd half really felt good - and that is what i will takeaway from this game. it reminds me of 1990 and 1992..

also - seeing that duck pull a truck is one thing i wont forget for a whi;le

What I find really impressive is that Dobbs and these receivers had a breakout game against a secondary littered with future NFL players. I hate "teez" as much as the next guy but he can ball and will be a first round draft pick.

If we dont have the drops in the first half Dobbs mightve finished with 400 yards.

On the other hand, there were still some bone headed decisions by Dobbs. The throw in the end zone was the worst.

The emergence of Malone, Jennings and Byrd is so exciting. Malone is a real threat to be an all-SEC type wide out.

If we can clean up the drops and bad reads I see no reason this passing offense couldnt average around 250 a game.

Hate to give commentators credit where none is due, but at least they got this thread right:

Last year we started strong and blew leads.
This year we start off balance and yet come back and finish games, whomever they're against. And, certainly in this case, we finish them with EMPHASIS.

Those are perhaps my favorite 38 points I've ever seen at any level of football in a long, long time. 23 go to '98, but I'm not trying too hard to think of another 16 at the moment. GBO!

This is what I've seen the last few weeks:

I've seen this team get smacked in the mouth by both what most will agree are mediocre teams and good teams. They've come back and found a way to win each week. That is growth, last year we couldn't hold a lead, this year it's a way different mentality.

The FL win will do wonders for them going forward, now they KNOW they can not only play with the #1 ranked defense in the country, they can beat the #1 ranked defense in the country.

Teams will have to no only scheme against the run, they will have to respect what the passing game is capable of. It's a different kind of game when a team is a multi-multidimensional.

Add to that what the defense can do missing multiple playmakers, and you get the feeling people don't want to face us. Notice has been given, the Vols are for real.

ummmm . . . . Georgia?

The one game where we started slow and came roaring back. In a year when we gave up 3 4th quarter leads.

As opposed to this year, where we've had to fight every team we've played (maybe a push on that for VT, but 5 turnovers, c'mon), and then found a way to...whatever, you're nitpicking my narrative right now?!? We just CRUSHED Florida in 30 minutes of football, stop peeing in my Cheerios!! They're Honey Nut tonight, for god's sake! And the toy at the bottom is a horse-toothed bobblehead with a dour look on his face. Wearing jorts.
