Seriously, this video will make you feel better.

A few takeaways:

1. JH uses an H-Back in a lot of his run plays. His use of the H-Back is very effective too, as he has him “pretend” to run a route, then cut back and lead block. He will then run the exact same play except the H-Back will just lead block on the route he pretended to run before. Their misdirection offensive scheme opens up some nice holes for the RB. Looks like Gray would have had a field day had he stayed.

2. Slants, curls, and hitches are the main trademark of their passing game. Once they hit you enough, they go deep. Their receivers have nice technique with their routes too, they know how to seal off defenders.

3. Their red zone offense is very creative. They can run multiple run or pass plays out of the same formation, makes it a guessing game for defenses.

Take 20 minutes and watch. THIS is an offense.

I am not sure if it will be more effective than our shotgun formation draw plays?? I will wait and see

Will we get to play Temple, Tulane, and Tulsa too?

Fortunately we get to play the garbage defenses in the SEC East. Ole Miss last year scored 35 on Florida, 42 on Kentucky, 54 on Vandy, 59 on South Carolina and as an added bonus, 48 on Alabama and 48 on LSU. They were using Heupel's former OC and several things he does as a HC.

When they were showing more of the run game my initial reaction was they will use Austin Pope and Dee Beckwith as the H-Back. Jimmy Holiday who I've been mentioning a lot as of late could get a shot in a wild cat package.. It feels like a balanced version of the Air Raid with RPO's and single read plays built in.. if Kaidon Salter ends up getting playing time as a freshman his confidence could really benefit from this. Who do y'all envision as the big play threats? My take is Jalin Hyatt he shines in this electric boogie woogie offense.
