Tajh Boyd to redshirt

But but but, he could have helped us this year.

I don't think I've read anywhere any defense of Tajh Boyd that suggested he would have helped us this year, yet that seems to be the most popular defense for not taking him.

He could have redshirted here too, learned the offense, and been competition (real competition not Nick Lamaison competition which isn't any real threat) for Nick Stephens in the spring.

Perhaps he would transfer if you compose and post one of your Internet love letters.

By Kyle Parker being a RS freshman and Willy Corn being a sophomore, Boyd might never play a down at Clemson. I guess there is always the injury possibility or he could play his last year there. I bet he transfers, but it won't be UT.

I agree. I think he would have been recruited over at UT and apparently, so did Kiffin.

Christ what was Kiffin thinking here. Boyd should be in Knoxville redshirting helping the Vols QB situation this year.

Bray isn't as mobile and I have a feeling we are going to need mobility behind this year's line. I agree that Bray is better though

I bet Boyd won't be nearly as mobile after major knee surgery. That's about all he would have been better at than Bray.
