Tajh Boyd quote on coaching rumors swirling

Word of caution, a WVU fan told me that their coach commented that no one's daddy would be calling plays for him. As Boyd, was committed to the mounties along with several teammates. Maybe it is sour grapes by wv.

Our fall from greatness started or coincided with Locke and his meddling papa juicy. Just something to think about.

Juicy and Erik Locke cost us the SEC in 2001? :eek:hmy:

I did read the story where Boyd did say that MH and CPF told him not to worry no change was going to be made. Boyd also said that you also had to have some "like" for a program and he "loved" UT. So whatever happens he is a Vol.

That quote was before this one. He knows (hopefully) that their will be some kind of change.

"With rumors swirling that Coach Phil Fulmer's job may be in jeopardy, how is Boyd affected? "No matter what happens, I am going to stick with them. We'll see about the coaching changes, but I'm still going to be a Volunteer."

sounds good cause we need him
Let's see: Boyd signs, CPF stays... that equals a) bench sitting 2 seasons, b) trying out at DB to "get him on the field some", c) "Who's Boyd?"

According to the article i read Hamilton told Boyd that no coaching change was going to happen.... I wonder if he just told him what he wanted to hear...

I would have. He has until Feb 2 to make up his mind. If Fulmer is still our coach on Feb 2, then he's gonna be our coach in 2009.

Its looking more and more like Fulmer will still be the head coach in 2009. However, I don't see him staying without shaking up the staff a bit. Somebody always gets fired after the Vols lose to South Carolina.

Has a player decommitted twice before? I guess not...

That is the attitude you need: think carefully about your decision after the WVU decommitment, and make your second choice wisely. I am not 100% sure if he knows exactly what is happening at UT, but he certainly did the right thing after he committed to us.
