Alright... I'm looking to set up a tailgate spot for the first for a game. I've been going for years, but have always parked the car and went to the game. It looks like I will do it for the Alabama game. Where can I set up shop with about twenty people, a canopy, and a few chairs close to the stadium? How much is tailgate parking too? Thanks for the info and lets get it vs. UAB this weekend!!!!!

I tailgated for the first time before the Florida game. We got there around 6:30 - 7:00 am and parked the truck down by the last frat house (the one they are doing construction on with the boarded up windows and took the tailgate stuff and picked a spot to set up.. There really arent set spots that I could tell. We ended up meeting up with some friends and tailgated by the ATO house which was a pretty good walk with all the stuff back to the truck.. But it was still a lot of fun. We parked in a spot next to that house and I thought for sure I would at least get a warning or ticket since UTPD are usually a**holes but I didn't get anything.

There are plenty of different places to park and tailgate. The closer you get to the stadium obviously you will pay more. You can park for as cheap as 10 to 15 dollars and possibly pay up to 45 or 50. There are places along Neyland Drive that you will be able to park. There are also plenty of places down the strip that are great places to tailgate as well. PM me if you have any more questions.

Hope this helps.

I've parked in Tyson's park early in the morning and didnt pay....it was pretty quiet and relaxed over there and plenty of room to set up for a large group....just a long walk to the stadium.

Along the river on Neyland is another really good setup as well if you can get there early enough there are some places, near the soccer complex.

I have been going to the parking garage on 500 state street for the last year.It is just 1.5 from interstate 40 ,James white exit. It is free and about 20 minute walk from the stadium. It is also block from colisium in case you want to ride bus. I park on top and and put my canopy tent and set everything up and no one bothers me.
