EDIT: Since no one seems to be taking initiative, I'll pick a spot. My friends and I will be at Blake's on Telegraph Ave. circa 3pm. Other Vols welcome to join. If you need help figuring out how to get there, email me: ksusha-at-berkeley-dot-edu.

I'd say you won't be able to tell there's a game that day on their campus... if you didn't know already

Usually you wouldn't be able to tell. I went to law school in the building that's right next to the stadium and half the time when I was in the library on a Saturday, I couldn't tell there was a game going on. Sad! Especially after what I was used to at UT.

But yeah, I agree with you that the VOLS fans will make their presence known! Can't wait for the game! :dance2:

no, I'm just worried about the "karma" of the thing...just feels like their turn to beat us....
plus our kicking game is so horrid, I feel like they will beat us on special teams

If karma had anything to do with it we would have beat Florida last year. And LSU. Especially LSU.

Our kicking game is fine. Colquitt is going to both punt and kick, so we should be solid as long as he says healthy.

he's gimped up though............and doing all the kicking is what scares me.....that's not a good thing and the coaches are pretty scared about it too

Fair enough, but we know it's defense that wins games and despite our losses, we have a lot of guys who are talented and ready to step up. I am just not that confident that they play teams with our speed and athleticism on a regular basis, so they don't know how to prepare their defenses for them.

Your optimism is commendable. I think we can win, but I too am concerned about this game a lot more than I would have been two weeks ago.

I think anyone in their right mind is concerned, especially with Ainge being hurt, a young offensive line and relatively untested RB's and WR's. I certainly don't expect the blowout I expected and saw last year. They ate a piece of humble pie and figured out that the Cal-Tennessee matchup will not be a mirror image of the USC-Arkansas debacle. I expect them to be more focused, less cocky, and more prepared. That said, I still think they have worse coaching and substantially less raw talent.

it'll be $15 and IMO not really worth stopping by, its usually some buffet food while they show a couple videos, then the band comes in a does a couple songs...etc., etc...
we're going to the Bear's Lair shortly after noon, heading up to the Hotel Durant where the Big Orange Army is gonna be set up, also where most (per Droski) of the young Cal alumni will be (in Henry's).

Friday night a few of us are planning on meeting at Lefty O'Douls in SF...probably after dinner-ish time...???

email me at will dot d dot moore at gmail (I'll have my blackberry) if you want more info or to get up, its gonna be me and my fiance all alone in the big ol' city...lol

we're leaving Charlotte tomorrow EARLY, and should be in SF before lunchtime God willing... :)
