Unfortunately for Cuse, Vols are be better on both sides of the ball this year than last year, can Syracuse say that and mean it?. After the ass beating the Vols got in Columbus last year -they have been working their asses off to ensure that doesn't happen again. It was an embarrassment and left a bitter taste and a chip if you ask the players- We are way bigger and talented on both lines and faster just about everywhere//. People worrying about QB ? JA will be an improvement over skinny nico- Book it. All we need to know about skinny Nico- running out of bounds at the 15 vs Arky w/ no time on the clock instead of chucking it into the end zone.. WE WILL BE BETTER AT QB. Vols by 20
I think we win and cover id say by 24 but their O line is huge. and If i am being completely honest I think they are slightly better at QB, just my opinion.

Syracuse fan here! Regarding crowd size, sounds like conservatively that 5k number is right. But that is tickets bought from the university which was more expensive than the secondary market. I think the 9k-11k actual Syracuse fans in attendance is dependent on how many of the Atlanta area Syracuse fans (we tend to draw decently for Georgia Tech games), Florida Syracuse alumni, and CNY transplants in Florida show out. Regarding the game, we are replacing a lot. However, Fran Brown has significantly changed the make up of the roster. Under Dino Babers, Tennessee would have a major size and speed advantage, our hope to be competitive would be trying to be extremely opportunistic defensively to cause turnovers and hope our gadget plays work offensively. I know we’ve closed the size gap in the trenches and speed gap in the skilled positions, but I think we will learn just how much on Saturday. If I would pick the ultimate X factor for Saturday it’s going to be on whether we improved our tackling. There was a lot of chatter prior to last season that a major change to the defense was tackling form. A lot of our defensive issues last season wasn’t that we weren’t in position, we just weren’t completing tackles and letting drives extend. We got better with tackling by the end of the year, but will the learning curve for the new starters on defense take as long as our starters who left.

You in fact are not bigger on both lines. Check our roster...our starting OL will be 6'7 320, 6'5 320, 6'3 305, 6'5 315, 6'8 335. With 6'6 320 and 6'7 400 being the next rotating in. I just checked your rumored OL depth chart, and honestly we are bigger than you at every position across the line

I still hope we beat them like a government mule but I will give their Coach Fran Brown credit, he was very complementary of our program, our coaches and our players. Go to the 1:38 mark below and listen. He seems like a class act.

Biggest question should be---does this cat have a degree yet? Georgia had a QB, Stetson Bennett I believe, who was there 6 years and never got a degree. Hope it's not a trend going forward
Based on Bennett's behavior when he reported out west, he likely had a free pass on classes, maturity, and alcohol consumption at UGA. His absence during his rookie season was likely a get clean or else banishment.

Welcome! 🤗 Great input. A mini bowl game for Syracuse alumni living in the South! We are getting pumped down here! Think Peaches!
