According to Chris Low...

When did this happen?

Is Sykes big enough?

Are we that desperate for bodies at DT?

What do you all think about this move?

I think there was mention of him playing DT back on Tuesday or thereabouts. We're loaded at DE, not so much at DT, sounds like its filling a need. Also sounds like he's buried on the depth chart so he probably won't be playing much this season.

He has more of a chance to make an impact THIS season at DT, and I think long term he has the frame to operate at that position.

Based on what I'm hearing about the D, WKU might not even make a first down. I am looking for a shutout---49-0-----UNLESS the O turns it over deep.:nono:

Chris Low is late to the party again. Sykes has been at DT for more than a week. He needs to add some weight though for sure. He's the 4th tackle right now. And Kiffin exaggerated his weight. He's only at about 260 right now.

Sykes is pushing 270. He goes back and forth between 265 and 270. I think he has the frame to carry some more "good weight" (15-20 more lbs) over the next 3 seasons.

When: Last Friday

Is he big enough? 270 or so and by Monday he was 4th DT behind Williams, Brown and Hughes.

desperate? Yes. We have those 4 they think are best right now. Brown has knees that may limit him to 20 snaps a game. Hughes and Sykes have neither one taken a college snap. I would say they are desperate.

what do I think? they had no choice. you need 5-6 DTs to roatate in and out every 5-6 snaps.

This is why getting Walls cleared was HUGE.

Will Walls be one of those 5-6 by the time September is here, or will he be too far behind?

Are Nelson and Thomas just complete non-factors at this point?

It sure sounds like it...

Hey LWS...I'm hearing King and Askew are going to see major playing time and one could even be the starter at SLB by the end of September...what do you think?

And how much PT will Jackson and Myles get early on?

My question is how in the hell did we end up in this situation at DT? Did we just forget to recruit DT's over the last 3-4 years?!?

Are Nelson and Thomas just complete non-factors at this point? Yes. Have been that way at most any point since they have been there.

I'm hearing King and Askew are going to see major playing time and one could even be the starter at SLB by the end of September...what do you think? Sure, they are going to have to play. Who is ahead of them that has had more snaps?? Not many.. Not sure they will be starters by then though. Monte loves Nick R. I've heard Askew is inconsistent. King showing up much better and Monte also loved his high school film.

And how much PT will Jackson and Myles get early on? Jackson will get some reps.. could end up starting but that is what is expected of 5 star players. lot of DBs on this roster.

I find it amazing you can tell the difference between 260 and 270 just by looking. You've got a bright future at the state fair

I'm going by what Sykes said. He said that Kiffin exaggerated and he's only about 258 rather than 272.
