Why not start a little bit of a sweet thread just for the heck of it?

What is your favorite candy, cake, pie, cobbler, etc.? And do you know of a dessert that requires a "special" recipe or whatever?

I'd have to say that I could eat banana splits all day, every day. And I can say that I love to devour those good 'ol hot fudge cake desserts at Shoneys.

What's your favorite?

Cant pass up a good and hot chocolate chip cookie!!! Sweets are my downfall but cant eat too much. Too much sugar gives me really bad headaches. A banana split sounds good but ice cream gives me migranes!!!!! :( That sucks!!!!!!!!

straight up cookie dough or brownie mix. its pretty good if u get the brownie mix pretty warm and pour it over vanilla ice cream.

Absolute favorite: These dark-chocolate covered, creamy-fudge filled things they called "Magic Truffles" in certain bakeries and shops in Amsterdam.

Not only did they taste insanely good, but, thanks to the filling, you either stuck to only one, or, shortly after the second, the candy itself exerted a certain, "compelling existential argument for good dieting". Then you fell down. In slow motion.

It was actually more like a 1 gram of post-herbal ingredients per truffle in that creamy fudge filling.

It was about 15 years ago, but they were memorable (ironically). The worst part was that they tasted so incredible, yet it was an unwritten rule in the city as far as I was able to tell not to make those truffles without the open-secret ingredient.

To add another dessert to the list, at a party with post-food homemade chocolate ice cream, a friend said he couldn't decide whether he felt more like ice-cream or a drink, I made him a kaluha & brandy milkshake. It turned out to be just as good with either dark rum or vodka. It's not something I'd recommend going for a buzz on (the ugliest thing you can wake up with the morning after is actually a night of sweet drinks). Still, it's a pretty damned good answer when you can't decide whether to go for dessert or the bar first.
