This is an absolutely ridiculous thread but I needed something to distract me because I for real have butterflies about tonights game already...

I have created a list of 16 similarities between THE Sweet 16 and MTV’s My Super Sweet 16 (which I hate but I thought this would be fun).

Similarities:
1. Both are shown on television.

2. Both display madness.

3. Both showcase wealthy teenagers (either current or soon to be).

4. Both will feature a lot of whining and complaining to authority figures.

5. Both provide a stage in which to prove they are better than their peers.

6. Both allow for a “coming of age”.

7. Both create tension in households.

8. Both attract celebrities to attend.

9. Both feature “students” who probably don’t crack too many books.

10. Both display teenagers desperately seeking a crown (princess or champion).

11. Both feature highly planned schemes that rarely go as planned.

12. Both are associated with “big dances”.

13. Both feature very temperamental teenagers.

14. Both attract controversy.

15. Both often end with people being “upset”.

16. Both leave me questioning various aspects of life.

Just a thought.

Wow I don't know which is worse. You start this thread because you are nervous or bored, or that you have actually watched what has to be a garbage show.

Ok maybe I should again clarify a little further. I do NOT watch this show. I have simply seen it on and am familiar with it. It is absolutely a stupid garbage show and I don't like it.

I don't even know what made me think about this. I suppose at this point my brain is clinging on to anything to get my mind off the game somewhat. I apologize if everyone hates this...I didn't realize it would provoke an overwhelming negative response...

Just ribbing you a little. I imagine we are all a little nervous.

I don't really care...I didn't attempt to create anything profound I just thought it was funny how many similarities you could draw between the two. It's just a mild attempt at humor.
I've been on this board long enough to realize that most don't have a sense of humor. This thread would do well on some boards, but this ain't one of them.

i got an entirely different read based on what i expected to read in this thread.

in the now infamous words of Ron White:

"the next time you have a thought........Let it go."

Haha thanks I'll take note of that. I'm just a fan of play-on-words type of stuff and something got me thinking about this and I thought it was at least a little clever and original.

This can also be somewhat related to "The Hills," in which I have only seen one episode and have vowed to NEVER watch it again. Thankfully, I don't have cable.
