This morning he's been saying that he knew we still had Major issues on the Off Line, especially after losing Chance Hall.
He said he knew our run game would struggle especially until Richmind gets up to speed and Hall returns.
The one thing that surprised him is how poorly Coleman Thomas played especially against a very small APP d line.

Butch said that their small fast athletic DLine was exceptional so we shouldn't have to worry about that any more. All the other DLines we face will not be exceptional. He also said their OLine was very good at blocking, cut blocking to be accurate. I don't think he expects anyone else on our schedule to have an OLine that is as capable of blocking our DLine. At least that was my takeaway from his post game presser. So, no worries here. :hi:

You would have thought that the Oline going against our Dline in training camp would have had them more prepared. Our Oline could not block those quicker smaller Dlineman of App St. Going to be a long season if the Oline doesn't improve. Something either wrong with how we recruit Oline or use them. Oline Coaching needs to be addressed. This has been a problem way too long.

What is this crap about Drew Richmond getting up to speed? I'm tired of excuses. Football is actually a simple game. If you don't dominate the line of scrimmage, it's difficult to impose your will on your opponent. We seem to be completely incapable of dominating EITHER line of scrimmage.
