Anyone else hear the Swain Event today?

He said what many of us have been saying since the game.

People that don't know what they are talking about see Dormady was the qb so they think he played well and lead us to a come back.

He said Dormady is getting WAY too much credit for the win.

He thinks Dormady looked pretty bad and was bailed out by Calloway making great plays.

He understands why JG was upset and thinks he should have played.

He doesn't know what will happen going forward. He could see QD getting all the reps and starting or them going to JG.

So he said either QD will start or JG will start? That was the conclusion?

Idk, Dormady didn't even get that many plays because the defense was on the field for so long. I think QD will be fine, guys.

Recurring them with this staff, many 4 and 5 Star players promised immediate PT and when that doesn't happen they are upset, I definitely think that QD didn't have a great game and yes he was bailed out numerous times, he actually should have had 2 INT's but the throws were so bad and even the defender was out of position and allowed Calloway to run under the ball and make the play. The one was the 30 yard floater and the other a skipped ball that was underthrown right to the defender just 5 yards too short.

I think QD settled down but did look bad the 1st half. I want JG to at least get a shot

Swain has a big mouth. All that is required for his job.

I'll go with CBJ and Coach Canales over a former WR who has plenty of opinions.

He definitely didn't orchestrate the comeback by himself like some are saying but for a guy starting his very first game he looked pretty calm down 14 in the 4th. He could have easily gone out and tried to be a hero and lost us the game

Other than the play where Calloway took off for a 50 yard TD, QD made some great throws to set up Calloway, so this is a little bs. Colloway's first TD was a hell of a throw from QD that not a lot of QB's can make.

You can say that Calloway bailed QD all you want but the simple fact of the matter is Calloway did what all WR's are suppose to do...catch the ball and make plays.

QD had some overthrown balls, but he also had a bunch that were on the money but dropped.

Pretty remarkable information from Swain, truly amazed. In all fairness though it was QD's first start and people need to cut him some slack.

QD didn't make it easy on his receivers, he was consistently throwing behind them, but then again this was the first game of the season and the oline was allowing a 3-man rush to collapse the pocket on him.

He's got some things to work out, but we need the oline to step up and protect him, and until he has confidence that they are capable of doing so, the pressure is going to affect his throws.

A bunch of receivers dropped the ball and they got pressure with 3 in the first half. Bench him?

agreed. that said, there was a point in the 2nd quarter, you could certainly argue that changing the qb could provide a spark. what we were doing wasn't really working...sometimes making that change can help. it probably took a little courage to stick with QD...

Truth is almost always somewhere in the middle. The most clutch play I remember from Dormady was in that final drive in regulation that started on our own 6.

3rd & 4. Instead of forcing it down the field like earlier in the game, QD checks it down to Kelly in the flat for a gain of 7. That play was HUGE. Set up the Callaway bomb on the next play.

247 gave Dormady a B+ grade. I agree with that.

The first half...Dormady was nervous and bad. The second half...he was calm and ok. I give him credit for settling down and playing better, but that's it.

I think the o-line played great in the second half, Kelly ran hard, and Callaway made plays. That is what drove the offense. I think Guarantano will get his chances this weekend. Dormady has to prove he can perform in a game like he does in practice. That hasn't happened yet. I do think one of those two extremely talented QBs is going to step up soon and the offense is going to be good.
