Foster - 1st half of Arkansas game.
Holbert - 1 game
Wardlow - 2 games

Apparently, Foster was trying to break up a fight and was arrested, hence the 1/2 suspension.

From ESPN.com
Starting tailback Arian Foster will be suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against Arkansas, fullback David Holbert will be suspended for the entire Arkansas game, and safety Antonio Wardlow will be suspended for the Arkansas game and the Nov. 18 game against Vanderbilt. All three players also face internal discipline......

Reactions?????

I'm not sure what Arian's role was in the incident but he should be suspended for the entire game with the others.

sorry law to post identical thread, you beat me to it. lol

I thought the penalties would be more severe to be honest, esp. for foster seeing how he is more of a 'recognizable' than the others.

I still think Arian should be out the ENTIRE game along with the other two.

I think it seems reasonable. I don't want to see UT cave into public pressure and go overboard.

I was more disturbed by a report I read which suggested that there was fighting among football players at the club. Any idea as to validity of this?

Let's see...

Foster-Starting TB
Holbert-Split Starting FB
Wardlow-Backup DB, special teams player

Sounds about right.

"they went outside the bar and found Holbert and Wardlow fighting each other in the parking lot"

I think it sounds fair. None of these guys have been in trouble in before and I'd be willing to bet that they never get in trouble again.

especially not foster or holbert. When Cut gets through with them they will wish this little deal never took place.

No offense to your program, but I think that's absolutely unacceptable, that's like a slap on the hand, a first half of a game. that's srsly lollerskates...

if Foster was breaking up the fight and that was his only infraction, half game is acceptable, if not overboard.

What about under age drinking? Foster was in a bar and wasn't drinking apparentlY?

If Foster was only breaking up a fight, that's too much..

We sure do have a good number of holier-than-thou Hog fans on this board. Good grief. Get over it. You can come up with any variety of suspensions, and these seem reasonable. Worry about which QB is going to play on Saturday after escaping from Cockland with a win.
