from what I've gathered from spring til now is that Tauren Poole is ready for a breakout year! He is perfectly suited to the system, seems to have the homerun threat and can catch....might be the most complete back we've had in a while, yet he gets no love.

I believe all the backs will be good and right now it is hard to tell who will be the best. When Hardesty is healthy he is a very powerful runner. Oku and Poole are playing really well right now. Bryce will keep getting better and better as he adjusts to the college level.

Poole got some love from the coaching staff as a freshman last year but he got a lot of love from his teammates. I remember several articles where EB and other guys were talking about how good Poole was going to be.

I expect our running game to look completely different with our OL in shape and us playing RBs who can hit the hole and get upfield. Poole and Hardesty should have a lot of success this year making quick cuts and getting yardage in chunks.

I think BB will be used somewhat sparingly and Oku will see more playing time because of his ability to catch out of the backfield and because of the differences between his game and the rest of our RBs. Bryce should start coming into his own late in the season and be ready to have a huge 2011 as the feature back.

A. Foster was a versatile back but his lack of speed and burst made him a terrible fit for last year's lazy OL that couldn't get a push or keep holes open until the last couple of games of the year. That is going to change as every back on the roster has good speed and hits the hole hard and our OL is completely different this year.

Bryce won't be a surprise, he will be as advertised DOMINATE. After seeing Oku make that spinning WR catch in the air, land perfectly and never break stride...I'm stoked about this guy.

Only one back could be considered a surprise honestly and that's Poole. Hardesty being the lone senior is expected to have a breakout year, especially with the new zone blocking and more athletic lineman. BB #1 overall and Oku #1 all purpose back in the country would be expected to contribute as Freshman in any program (thus no surprise) and with Williams out for the year with the ACL injury, Poole is the only back left.

I know I'll probably get blasted for this, but I think right now Oku has proven to be the better back. I know it's only summer practice, but BB has fumbled a bit too often after getting blasted due to his still raw free-style running technique (spins and jukes galore) and doesn't possess the receiving threat out of the backfield like Oku. With the talent and consistency expected from Hardesty and the great results so far from Poole I'm not sure there is as much room for BB in the offense this year as some are expecting/hoping. Oku though, brings so much unique ability catching and cutting I feel he might be the better fit for more looks in the backfield than BB.

I'm sure CLK will find a way to get him the ball. All of them will get touches. The running game will be used a lot more than the pass this season mainly early on.

It maybe that we use all 4 backs.

I feel that initially Hardesty will get the initial nod. Poole from all accounts has been seriously kicking tail. Oku is no slouch, and of course Bryce is Bryce. No reason in my mind that they won't use them all and share the load a little.

Poole and Oku are the two surprises. If I had to pick one then it would be Poole

At first I thought that using 4 backs this year would be a hard thing to pull off. But by all accounts and by the talents they have, all can contribute to the team. That in itself will be the surprise this year.

You are probably correct. I think there will be more of a 1-2 combination ala Brown and Cadillac. But that doesn't mean that Oku doesn't sneak in at the clot position to catch a few balls or Tauren doesn't come in a few times or whatever the scenario maybe.

There's only one problem here; when we play Fla. their D will not be made up of third stringers. I was at the O and W game; Poole is not the next coming of Jamal Lewis.

My dad really likes Poole. I think he's a good back, not a superstar by any means. But I think what will help is that he hits the hole and doesn't wait. We have not been able to have a back like that for a while. Just hit the hole and run. That's what I like about Poole.

I saw that catch, i couldn't believe it was him. Someone told me later. Don't know if I should say this......I had to go back and watch the film!!!!

Poole may be a good back, but I don't think he's the best we've got. I think he did most of his damage against what equates to pilot rocky top league defenders on saturday.

Nothing wrong with sharing the load.

Look at Florida last year.

5 people had over 400 yards rushing, 3 over 600, etc.
