This. Have Conklin make the D calls and leave Sal there to help do the game plan and work the LBs. You have to pay him anyway. Make him suffer for being so incompetent.

Sunseri has sealed Dooley's fate. I can't imagine retaining Sunseri as DC. There is no way , no way a quality DC will come here next year to work on a DD staff. I can't see UT giving a coordinator another sweetheart deal because the HC is on the hotseat.

I am convinced the only solution is to start over. I also believe they have backed themselves into a corner and anything short of a homerun hire will be disastrous. I hope they have enough sense to get this done soon so the new coach has a decent shot at recruiting.

Not 100% sure but I don't think it's just that easy to demote coaches.... They sign contracts to coach a certain position... That would not be in compliance with what we signed. Pretty sure a new contract would have to written approved as signed by all parties..

Does Sunseri suck, or does the D? I think Dooley has spent the bulk of his time recruiting offensively and that is coming back to bite him.
