Summitt, the cheerleader

Just goes to show that the world is sexist. Pat butchers a song in the middle of a basketball court and it's charming. Carl Lewis butchers a song in the middle of a basketball court and . . . . wuh-O.

Carl Lewis butchered the Star Spangled Banner, not just "a song". If your sing the national anthem bad, it's really just plain disrepectful.

I propose they change all the "ain'ts" to "aren't". Come on, we are a college team. We can at least sound educated.

I want to hear from somebody who was at the game. The first few seconds had to have everybody in silence with their mouths wide open.

That just wouldn't sound right. "Aren't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top, aren't no telephone bills"

Sure, it was hokey and borderline embarrassing, but only in the way that you would feel a little weird if a whole bunch of strangers were looking in on one of your family holiday gatherings. It was great. I'm proud to be part of it.

Great atmosphere at the game... Great that Summitt could help contribute to that as well as the appearance by Manning!

I thought it was great. Waiting to get in the game, Pearl came out about 2 hours before the gates opened and told everyone to be prepared for the 1st time out. Knew it was coming, but it was still a great surprise.

*Awaits someone to put Pat in the cheerleader outfit in their avatar*

:stop:

I think it showed great spirit for the school. Actually had a UNC fan, on a non-sports related message board, say he loved the Tennessee coaches. :good!:
