The only time off is mini term in May.

Even then about half the team stay and works out. I always took it off go home.

the team lifts and runs a LOT. 7 on 7 and OL DL drills happen 2-3 times a week as well. Those are lead by seniors and strength coaches.

We used to to Yoga as well :)

hmmmm, you sound like Omari??

Technique, strength, not too much on speed as far as sprints go I wouldn't think.

The players know the offense and defense, and pretty much what will be expected of them, come fall. They also know that incoming freshmen will get the first shot at their spot. Can players, without actual coaching, improve their skill, strength, or speed before practices start back up? This question is assuming that the coaching staff will see to it that these guys stay focused through the summer.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a published article or interview recently on another site that specifically talked about the fact that most of a player's improvement came through off season workouts rather than during the official spring practice.

Are the players completley done with organized team activities from now until August or do they still have workouts, lifting, 7 vs 7 drills ect. this summer?

I thought this was an exciting quote:

"I'm really impressed with Nu'Keese, just how quick he is and how fast he's picked up on things," Chris Walker said. "Nyshier Oliver, he has the quickest feet of the freshman I've seen."
