Cybercast News Service, staff writer, Fred Lucas, roaming the grounds in DC yesterday. Ann Marie Adams, a graduate student at Howard University, told Fred Lucas, "Obama has given us a reason to look at government as a way to get out of this mess. He has given us a reason to believe that government can help us. It's not entirely tangible how he has changed America. It's like when you go to church and you feel God speaking to you. It's not tangible, but you just know."

this is our future.

What is there to say? These people are ridiculous to put that kind of faith in a man they don't even know.
It sorta reminds me of the scene in Conan the Barbarian when James Earl Jones motions for the girl to walk off of the cliff....and she does it.

And people wonder how dictatorships happen. The cult of personality is the strongest cult there is.

I thought hearing Obama talk was just like when God talks to me too Ann Marie! How positively enchanting.

On that note, nothing like having the Government tell us how to better live our lives.

Dictators almost always rise to powers in times of moral and cultural crisis.

Conan the Barbarian comparisons are always welcomed.

Funny, because I've heard libs comparing GW to Emperor Palpatine.

Great, I think this ignited a Star Wars vs. Lord of the Rings debate.

Yes, one quote from one person in a crowd of 2 million is a "summary" of the base and expectations of those who support Obama.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me GSV

Typical post from you.

Before you start worrying about and falsely labeling the democratic base, I would think you should be more concerned about the Republican base and direction. Which BTW is FUBAR.
