Many of us enjoying following players after their recruitment is over - whether they end up here or at another school. But I understand that it clutters the recruiting forum if the front page is full of bumps on '10 and '11 recruits.

Can Freak create a subforum within the recruiting forum? After NSD, all threads for that year's recruits get moved to the subforum. Then those who wish to continue discussing former recruits have a place to do so without clogging the main recruiting forum.

Just a thought.

Not a bad idea. I hope people realize that any request the mods make is in the name of just keeping things organized.

i just suggested TriCitiesVol to post his stuff in the recruiting forum football thread. That has been very effective.

I think that thread should be stickied, but it hardly ever leaves the first page.

That's not everything of what OP was saying, but I'm glad that's happening as well

There's already the perfect mechanism. If you don't want to see old threads bumped with news, click ignore thread. The information will also be posted in the football forum I'm sure, so if you enjoy bouncing around two forums for whatever reason, you can.

Any bump of an old thread has usually died down within a day, and returns back to where it used to be. I don't think it's a huge issue. I'd say keep it here. I doubt I would ever use a sub-forum for recruiting.

I agree that bumping a thread here and there is no big deal. What prompted this whole thing though was there were about 10 threads bumped and that's just not what we want.
