LSU beats aggies, Bama beats auburn, Florida state beats Florida, and Vols are the only sec team with 3 losses. (UF loses to Bama too)

Florida beating LSU is secretly the best thing that ever happened to us. It makes our win over UF look better, keeps us from a needless loss/beating from Alabama, and now we are looking pretty decent for the Sugar Bowl. Not a bad Saturday. Fire Jack shots around

Wow, couldn't back into the SECCG so now hoping to back into the Sugar Bowl? Wow, just wow.

Everyone might want to hold off on creating these type of threads until you know Tennessee wins the next two games.

A needless loss to Alabama? That needless loss as you call it would mean that Tn actually won something, the east. Butch could sell winning the east and that he is capable of doing it. Turning point in recruiting.

Guys, we can still make the playoffs! All we need is all the teams in front of us to be disqualified from the post season.

Example of not being able to win. A garbage thread exist right now because we didn't make it Atlanta by "backing in" which we didn't, Florida did. Yet when people are talking about good bowl games, and we will go to a good bowl game, someone has to down that. Volnation was easier to deal with back when we were hoping to make the Music City bowl.

Just one question since you apparently don't think the SEC is a big deal, when do you think Tn will have another legitimate shot? All I'm saying is it just got a lot harder, you have to have big time recruits and it just became harder to do that.

There are two ways of looking at it. We could win the East or have a chance at the Sugar Bowl. I would rather win the Sugar Bowl honestly. That wouldn't look so bad to recruits (rivals #8 currently). That is still possible.

Nothing we can do about it now, so let's focus on what we can control. Sugar bowl is our best case scenario. You can't make me change my thinking to glass half empty.

Its going to be awhile before we get back to the SECCG. The perpetual saying for Tennessee, "next year is our year."

I think Tennessee will have a legitimate shot every year moving forward to be honest. If you are so down on the Vols and our future feel free to find another team. We are finally competing and you morons want to blow up the whole system again. Maybe Gruden will come this time

What's backing in about it? If the SEC Champ is in the playoffs, the 2nd highest ranked SEC team automatically goes to the Sugar Bowl.

Auburn is currently the only other SEC team above us (4 spaces), but they're already 7-3 and still have to play Alabama.

UF (the next closest below us) is going to lose to Alabama (and maybe FSU).
