What in the world is going on in this area? We wanna be an up tempo offense yet keep substituting every other play. That gives that to me benefited ASU. They always had fresh legs in the game. I really hope that this game was just a fluke.

Of course we are up tempo offense. Look at the number of plays we run in a normal game.

And to the OP's point. The substitutions killed our tempo. We are a tempo offense and we do run alot of plays. During the game we were substituting WR on almost every play. Appy played this very smart. The substituted a DL on ever substitution we made. And they ran him from 20 yards behind the play. He was never at the line of scrimmage running he. He was always well behind the play. He ran in and tapped the guy he was subbing and that guy then ran off the field. This slowed us down about 15 secs per play. And the referee allowed them to slowly run onto field and off the field. I know CBJ likes to play alot of WR but those substitutions killed our tempo. He yelled at the refs alot because of the slow substitutions but they did their job. We should have changed that strategy early in the game.
