How can Iowa St have a tougher schedule than LSU or even Tennessee for that matter?

Absurd metrics? I can see LSU's schedule being on par with UT, although I don't see how it's tougher. They played Fla, Auburn and Bubba---so did we, plus we got GA and WV. Anyway, no doubt, we had one of the top three toughest schedules in the nation. Only tougher one would be if Alabama had to play itself twelve times.

LSU played SE LA (4-6) and LA Tech (6-3) so far plus they have an upcoming game with Rice (1-9). Their other non-conf game was Miami, who is now 5-4.

Iowa St played Iowa (6-3) and Akron (4-4). Their game against SD St was canceled. If they had played South Dakota, their SOS probably would have dropped by playing the Missouri Valley team. They finish against the Incarnate Word, which will certainly drop their SOS.

Agreed. Out of our 9 games, we have played 5 ranked teams. 2 top 10 teams. Iowa State has only played 3 ranked teams.
