Streaming this year

I got the Disney/Hulu/espn+ bundle think this will get me through the season?
Unfortunately my friend, I don't think it helps you at all.
I had the same package (still do) last season and I think we only had one game on ESPN+ and they do not show any SEC Network OR 'main stream ESPN / ESPN 2' stuff on ESPN+ either.

Honestly, I had the most luck last year just going to YouTube, searching on the game, and selecting the one that had the most people viewing.
There were times the internet police caught up and the stream got pulled down, but it doesn't happen as often as you would think.

Another option, and the one my little brother uses, is if you aren't hooked on Hulu or D+ then cancel that and put that ~$15 towards philo or Sling and carry one of those for the 3 months of the season. Then you can cancel that and go back to the cheaper Hulu package.

If you have the Hulu live tv bundled you should be covered. I may be wrong, but I feel like subscribing to ESPN+ without a full streaming service like Hulu or YouTube TV, you are limited to strictly the ESPN+, SEC+ type of channels. Don’t think you will be able to watch main group of ESPN channels. If I’m wrong, someone else correct me.

I’m pretty sure the bolded is incorrect. To my understanding, if it’s on an ESPN channel, you can find it on ESPN+

Yes, you can watch it on the ESPN app if nothing else if it is not on any of the ESPN channels.

I did this with baseball games last spring with no problem.

Add Hulu live to that bundle to be safe.
YES - that was the other one I was trying to think of in my post...Sling, Philo, or Hulu Live.

When I looked into it though, Hulu Live was separate from the Hulu, D+, ESPN+ package though and costs about the same as Sling and Philo.

Not correct. If it is on ESPN, you have to have the ESPN App separate from ESPN+.
To sign into the ESPN app you have to have a login through a cable subscription or TV service provider such as Sling or Hulu TV.

You are correct. I had cable that didn’t include ESPNU at one point, and I believe we had a basketball game on. So I logged into ESPN+ that was linked to my Spectrum account and it would not let me watch ESPNU due to my cable service not providing it. So I’m pretty certain you would need to add Hulu Live to your bundle. Personally, Hulu sucks and is by far the least of my favorite streaming services. Go with YouTube Tv or Fubo.

Yes we are looking very hard at dropping the Hulu/D+/ESPN+ package and picking up YouTube TV through the winter.
In the spring we might switch back just to catch the D+ stuff like the Marvel and Star Wars series that are going to drop this year.

Agree about Hulu as well - other than Murders In The Building, I can do with out them.

Now that is legit... did you use it last year? How is the lag during games?

edit... failed to quote @Enki_Amenra
I used it a few times. It is great quality. Really surprised me how good the quality was. Basically zero lag.
May need a VPN for some of the channels. I didn't need one for SEC Network or ESPN. Still, I don't think VPNs are expensive.

Youtube TV is expensive, but I've always appreciated the DVR function, and I've never had any issues with it lagging or whatnot (Unlike Sling. I've always had issues with Sling being slow or choppy). To me, it's worth it just for a few months.

I use a different IPTV service and get no spooling at all with fiber. I provided some links so you can do some research on IPTV if you're interested. There are "plus" benefits that I don't want to spell out here to IPTV.

Yes. It is the gold standard of streaming apps as far as replacing regular cable. Nothing else really comes close imo, and I've tried most of them.

YouTube TV > Hulu

You can use YouTube TV on any smart tv anywhere where as Hulu you are limited to phones and tablets.

Huge advantage for tailgating!!

The ONLY complaint I have about it, aside from the price, is that you still have to sit through commercials when you record. That part stinks. But I love having games in my library saved from past seasons. Whenever I feel down, I just go put on the Mizzou game from last year, and suddenly the world isn't so bad.

Only if you have Hulu live with it. Otherwise the Disney bundle will not help you at all as far as watching live Tennessee games. Espn + doesn’t grant access to regular live programs on espn, sec network, etc.
With espn+ you get things like 30 for 30, Peyton’s places, you can watch ufc fight nights, stuff like that.

Huh? I always fast forward through commercials on recorded shows.

This site works, really works. I would advise anyone using it who isn't somehow subscribed to employ a robust VPN. Personally, I think you should use either NordVPN or Surfshark VPN. As I understand it, they are military grade and don't retain any user logs.
It's a very good site for those who have trouble getting specific channels. Has every channel there is. . . some channels do require you to have Nord VPN.
