Anyone still buy these things?

I used to love them back in the N64 and PS1 era, heck I even used it up to the xbox on occasion.

Anyone still use them, I just can't justify the $20, when you can find the answers you need on GameFaqs.

Most game instructions are terrible. You used to get pretty awesome, and detailed manuals with games. Now you get a few pages.

I dont blame them since no one really read them, but the manuals in Katimari and Metal Gear games are a breath of fresh air.

Only worthwhile on a big in depth RPG like Fallout. I think that's the last one I bought was the first Fallout 3. The internet has the answers, but if you can afford it, it's a lot more convenient.

I quit buying these when Al Gore invented the Internet.

I can't tell if you guys are being serious or sarcastic about Viva Pinata. I never played it. Don't even know what it is about.

+1 to all the Viva Pinata stuff - definitely bought the guide. Sounds silly and meant for kids (which, of course, it IS); however, it's very addicting, and one of those games that makes you want to check off everything in the garden log book. A task that gets extrememly complicated, especially with all the farking Flutterscotches.

Also bought the guide to the first Little Big Planet game -- turned out to be not nearly as useful as the internet.
