Is this MSU team for real or just regular Miss st? AVG? My father in law got his master's from MSU. He said they are slightly above average and the VOLS will whoop them. The drunk rednecks in his community in Mississippi assure me Miss st will whoop the VOLS. They collectively have the I.Q. of Forrest Gump though. News flash- Auburn is not very good

They are for real. They are not a figment of an imagination. As to how good they might be ... that's not clear at all.

tough at home -- ask UF -- I hope some of the UT media hound them about the looming recruiting violation, just to distract them

We will make them look real good.

Don't really care if they belong in there or not to be honest. Beating a ranked team is good for the program even if they don't belong. I hope they stomp Kentucky and move up a couple of spots with some help of the teams in front of them. Stanford and Oklahoma both have tough decent opponents this week so they could move up.

I will be shocked if they lose to UK. They will roll into the UT game undefeated and feeling cocky, which will make a Vols victory that much sweeter.

Their D is for real? Really, they gave up a ton of passing yards to Troy (over 300 or close to it) I believe. I think it might be a little closer than NCstate was but we should win.

I dont see them as being a legitimate top 25 team. The atmosphere will be hectic down there, but I think after playing in Athen's and our noise at home, the cow bells wont be that big of a distraction.

We will find out if they are next Saturday. Dooley needs this win. His future at UT is in limbo. With a loss we are looking very bad.

Yes, they are very good. I saw them in music city bowl last year and was very impressed. I think we could win but I think it will be a fight right down to the wire.

"-Mississippi State's starting secondary -- CBs Johnthan Banks and Darius Slay, and safeties Nickoe Whitley and Corey Broomfield -- have combined for 32 interceptions in their careers. The Bulldogs lead the nation with nine interceptions, including seven between Banks and Slay."

USATODAY...

this is the issue I'm talking about.
