Ladies and gentleman, I am appalled, ashamed and sincerely disappointed. Not in the game today, but in those of you who have within 20 seconds of the game being over, have came here, to the TOP Tennessee forum on the internet, a place that is read on a national level and even visited by players and coaches, to post complete and utter child like "rants" on everything to how bad you think the team is, how we are cursed, how Butch blew the game, how we should fire the Ol coach etc.

I too am disappointed in the outcome of the game. However when I take a serious look at where we are today vs years past I can see so much improvement in this extremely young team and I am highly optimistic about the future.

What concerns me frankly, is the callous and at times insane meltdowns coming from those who are supposed "VFL's". Do you even truly realize just how young we are? That over 23 true freshman are playing against in many cases 20-22 year old men who have had a few years in the SEC under their belt? Every single media outlet has mentioned that we are playing more freshman than any other division 1 school.

Doesn't it matter to you that our baby vols as it were are fighting and playing their rear ends off and not giving up? If you can't see the growth of the Tennessee team, then your blind or drunk. Perhaps both. Don't you think that their efforts are going to pay off as they mature in this league?

I realize that I may be offending some of you and I'm not going to apologize for it. Either your a true fan, or your not. if your patience with team 118 is already at the snapping point and you want a new coach, then please just start pulling for Vandy, Florida or any other team that deserves your anger. This Tennessee team, team 118 does not.

I bet they watched the game

That said more about this team than any negative comment on this board

In the end, wins are all that matter.

Put up, or shut up

I stopped reading when you said within 20 seconds of the game ending, it was when Fla scored the td.

That's all there is to it.

Florida did everything they could to give us this game and we just would not take it. It was a really lousy display from our team and coaching staff. But, that's the Tennessee way.

Most people admitted this would be a tough year with our lack of experience. Don't know why common sense goes out the window when it's time for the rubber to hit the road.

Good post. If anything, we are ahead of schedule and really close. That is what makes the losses hurt more.

The fans are sick and tired of being sick and tired, losing is very frustrating. Somebody needs to get their sh!t together.

I'll just be happy when Worley graduates and moves along. I'm just tired of all the losses the past 4 years and tired of seeing 14.

Since CBJ has been hired I have been preaching about rebuilding this team. Yes they will get better. I used to feel like you. But after suffering through the last 6 years or so, the wait until next year crap is even getting old for me.

This game showed some serious issues. 3 turn overs and we cannot even score 1 TD? Bajakian and Mahoney have not done the job they have been paid for. There needs to be some serious changes made. This wasn't the Leak or Tebow led Florida. There is no Spurrier or Meyer. This was not a high powered UF team. This UF team stinks. And they beat us. There is no excuse for this loss.

Wanting change and wins instead of losses does not mean you're not a true fan.

I don't post many times on here. I usually allow for a cool down period, which usually allows me to take a deep breath and just go about my business. However, there are some things that should be said in regard to this game.

First, only half of the team showed up today. The entire offense looked like hell, and the OC should be held accountable for that, and in relation so should CBJ. The offensive line, and qb play all regressed from last week, and that is on the coaching staff.

Second, yes Worley can take a hit, yes he also provides our best option to win. But lets just call it how it is, we have a qb in a read option offense that doesn't use one of the options. Either make him run, or pull his sorry butt. Today he cost his team by his poor decision making, and his lack of willingness to execute the offense as it is intended to be ran.

Third, our oline better be running until they puke the next week. They didn't belong on the field today. They were unprepared, and represented the University of Tennessee horribly. They are in their third game together as a unit, and what we all saw today should not happen.

Finally, CBJ can recruit like there is no tomorrow. He is recruiting the nations top talent to a university that has been losing in the worst possible way for too long. I give him the most respect I can for what he and his staff are doing to bring in the talent we need. However, at some point the 3rd down for whats, the tweets with rappers, and the rest of this ra ra ra stuff needs to end. We get it, the UT program has #swagger. However, #swagger doesn't put #pointsonthescoreboard, so the team can #win.

The offense coaching staff, and butch, need to put black stripes on their hats and shirts, because today they coached like freshmen that haven't earned their time on the field.

The baby Vols did not play their rear ends off. They got their rear ends handed to them by a horrible team playing horribly. We won't suck forever, but we sure sucked today.

I wish I could "like" this 100 times. Too bad all the gimmicks don't win the games.

Perception doesn't matter when you lose by 1 point after choking in the 4th qtr

Don't get me wrong, I'm including myself in that irrational group. I'm mad as hell right now , knowing full well we weren't going to be a good team this year.

To the myopic. If you can't get a 'big picture' then you're not smart enough to be called a fan. You're a glory hunter.
