Still using the gray in recruiting

I liked the gray when they first introduced it, but I'd be fine now if they did away with it altogether. I've always loved the idea of an orange helmet though. Would look great with white jerseys.

Don't hold your breath. All these color combinations won't look good with black cleats.

I honestly like the All White Helmet with just the Orange T, with no orange stripe down the middle.

Two points:

1. The guidelines for the Smokey Grey elements from Nike were that the grey pieces could not be mixed with the standard orange and white sets. That's why they wore the full Smokey Grey in the Music City Bowl as tribute to the mountain fire victims, when the original plan was just to wear the helmets with the regular home uniform.

2. They have not ordered any Smokey Grey uniforms or helmets for next year. They'll still use them on recruiting visits, but they're dead for now on-field.

I really wish we could have realtree camouflage jerseys with orange numbers. I think that would be awesome.

Isn't this like the 59th thread with the same exact title? Maybe freak should set up a script (php?)to automerge any thread with gray or grey and uniform in title?

Well, since it's now frowned upon putting a top recruit with a hot co-ed to give them the "campus tour", I guess an alternate uniform is the next best thing.
