…over that PI on Brazzell. What a joke of a call. It’s like calling over the back on a 7 footer when he rebounds one over ZZ. Don’t penalize a player for his ability and athleticism. It’s a joke! Our head coach needs to just take the fine and blast the way his teams are treated. Then our AD needs to say he will pay it!

We aren’t a ‘never was’ and are long no longer a ‘has been’. It’s time we got respect.

If this needs to be combined with another thread I apologize.

What are you going to do about it to make sure it doesn’t happen again?

It was a horrible call. Just glad it did not cost us the game.
Maybe coaches should be granted one PI challenge per game.

Imagine how Auburn feels. They got hosed worse than we did at OU and it did cost them the game.

I think calling it out and spreading light on it either behind the scenes (which I imagine they’ve done) or in public couldn’t hurt. Football is still entertainment and entertainment needs stars. Brazzell is a star. It would be in the best interest of the SEC to tout your best WR. Just my opinion, which is about like everyone else’s opinion…that is to say not worth much ha

Again it was terrible but not the worst call...

the worst was still us completing that long pass for a first down, and rushing up and snapping the ball and Star having a wide open lane for a TD and the refs stopped it during the play to review if we had gotten 24 or 30 yards

If the announcers and people watching on TV can see it wasn't pass interference there should be no reason conference officials in a remote location couldn't do the same....... and have the authority to change the call.

I thought this was gonna be about Heupel’s awful clock management
If we go 3 and out and lose on a last second fg, how would you have felt? Aguilar has thrown several picks lately. He's missing high and that's on him. I'm gonna say huepel was a little worried about letting them have the ball back with time.

Agree except PI isn't reviewable
That's what I'm saying. Maybe they should change that rule.
Let the white hat request a review.
Let the ref who made the call request a review.
Let each coach get one PI review request per game.
Let the review booth request reviews of "egregious" misses.
Or any combination.
It wouldn't be a difficult change to make.
A blown call effecting the outcome of a game should pretty much never happen with today's technology.

The SEC could invest in a professional officiating corps, but I think it would work better if at least the P4 did so collectively.
I think the first logical step is to admit there is an ongoing problem and to replace the leadership until the problem is resolved.

It worked with coaching hires. Fire em till you find him!

I think what happened to us was worse. We are just good enough to actually overcome it and win. As for Auburn's game, Oklahoma was still in FG range on 1st down in the 2nd quarter when that trick play happened. Oklahoma could have still scored or kicked a FG if they were called for a penalty. The truth is is that Jackson Arnold sucks and Auburn fans would rather blame the refs.
