Where do you guys think he ends up playing, WR or DE? He was photographed with both units today at picture day. I don't know his 40-time but with that size, looks like he would get his first shot at WR.

He will get his first shot at WR cause that's what he wants to play. After he sees everyone in front of him and how talented they are he might switch.

Anybody know when we will be able to get a synopsis of how the first practice went?

He has the frame of a DE. I don't see him lasting at WR much longer than fall practice.

Man, he looks like a DE to me. Looks like he could dominate too.

He'll have to redshirt at either position anyways. There are atleast 7 guys ahead of him at WR and he is too light for DE. If he added 25lbs he'd be ready to go at DE. Parys Haralson played at 242 most of his career here.

Yeah an Parys Haralson was 4 inches shorter than Fowlkes. At 6'5 Fowlkes would need to add more like 40-50 lbs to have a chance to play DE realistically.

good point...there is no way he should be behind gaines or johnson on the depth chart

Do you know when the depth chart they are talking about was released? Was it the spring depth chart? If so, it makes sense that he was so low...but if he is still there, then that really concerns me. So...did Rogan take the 2nd CB position behind Willingham today? Would Vinson be in on nickel packages? It's early...and maybe not getting any snaps in the spring still has him lagging...but it does make you wonder.

The fact that Vinson is still not taking 1st team snaps, despite according to Fulmer being almost 100% healed from his surgery, really makes me wonder if the rumors about a DB being in trouble weren't about him....

I really hope not, I think Vinson has the potential to be a very good Corner for us.

I agree. I have no agenda here...but knowing that Vinson and Duke Crews were good friends and knowing (second- or third-hand, admittedly) the crowd that Crews was hanging around with, it does give me reason for some concern. I really want to see Vinson out there come Labor Day because the guy is an amazing athlete.

Give vinson two weeks to get the hang of things.. come mid august, he'll prolly be on the first string !
unless Rogan made huge strides! which would be good

I agree. I would love to see a good competition in our secondary....and linebacker as well. We've got a lot of names...and suspected talent. I hope it plays out like we think it will.

Good question. I think that it really depends on where Rod Wilks wants to play:)
