The Dan is playing there May 5. Part of a festival I believe. You guys are lucky you can buy general tix for $25 and go see them. Us mere mortals pay at least $100 per ducket to catch them down this way!! If you want to see them in Lauderdale base ticket price is $200 plus ticketbastard fees.

Hope all my Vols fans can make it to catch them. They are fantastic!!

You people simply have no respect for good music. Now, as hat would say, run along and listen to your Christine Aguilera CDs.

Give me some DMX or Tupac and throw in the occasional Charlie Daniels and Johnny Cash and I am set.

Why, of course. They and the Doobie Brothers are a poor man's version of The Dan. Nonetheless, they both have some groovy tunes.

So fine when are you playing in the WSOP?

Given a choice between the two, SD would probably win out. I don't think I would pay to see either live. I have become a "small venue" guy in my older age.

Me, too. That's why, having previously caught Steely Dan with at least 10,000 fellow fans for the last few times, I am excited to see them here at the Hard Rock with 3,000.

And Hat was just recently extolling the cultural virtues of Memphis. Maybe he will have to reconsider his opinion after hearing the sacrilege of the Dan playing Beale St.

Caught Steely Dan "in the round" in Washington DC. In 1972. However, on a more recent note enjoyed Carlos Santana at the Mud Island Arena about 4 years ago. Hugely more of a memorable rock show. Every show has it's place.
