Too many times in the past as Vol fans, we have seen a little bit of a hangover after such a huge win. This team just seems to be so different, so determined and motivated by goals far beyond just ending an 11 game losing streak to the Gators. What really sets this team apart in my opinion is the veteran leadership, a battle-tested group of upperclassmen that want to leave a lasting legacy by getting the Vols back to national prominence. Guys like Josh Dobbs, Derek Barnett, Danny O'Brien, Jalen Hurd and so many others. Even the young guys are taking note and focusing on one game at a time, and playing for each other. Guys like Tyler Byrd, Baylen Buchanan, Juaun Jennings and others come to mind. I truly believe we will have not seen a team this motivated and driven as this group when they head down between the hedges this Saturday. They know the implications of this game concerning the East, but they have the maturity and focus to not let the game get "too big" for them. There is something special about this team. The Vols will take it to Georgia for 60 minutes. Go Vols!!!

These guys enjoy the grind of preparing for the game. Cam said it best talking about why he came back, to do what he loves with who he loves, that's strong. I'll be glad when he is back on the field.

We are back to the question. How great can this team be?

Can you imagine what the freshman like Byrd, Warrior, Buchanan, Guarantano and others are soaking up from the veterans and season they are experiencing so far?? It will pay so many dividends down the road it is scary.

I couldn't agree more. They are learning things that can't be measured, the intangibles that separate the best from the rest. Plus, some guys are getting some crucial game experience in big-time situations.

This is a must win game if Tennessee wants to win the east. A win vs A&M or Bama would help but it starts with Georgia

I love this team so much. They have more grit and determination than any I've seen from a UT squad in a good while. You just never know what to expect! If I would've told you at the start of the season that we'd need a fumble recovery in overtime to beat Appalachian State and be locked in tight with Ohio for majority of the game, then turn around and beat VT and Florida by a combined 31 points I doubt you'd have believed me! I guess that just goes back to my original point. SO FAR they've done what they needed to do in order to secure a victory. Let's hope it continues.

Go Vols! Beat Georgia!

I agree 100% A win in Athens almost clinches our spot in Atlanta. We are in the drivers seat in the East for the first time in a long time. UGA is a very winnable game. Lets handle business Sat

Go Vols

I haven't been this happy about a UT football team in a long time.

To 100% clinch the east we need to beat both UGA and either Bama or A&M...assuming remember November continues as usual.

I certainly hope the players don't think that way. As long as we keep winning, we will get everybody's A-game, and there is a whole lot of football to play.

I'm not worried about a let down after Florida. We finally have momentum going into October! Plus, it seems like Jalen and the team hate GA just as much as I do. He, specifically, has put a physical hurting on them for a few years. I think we finally put together a complete game.

I think this team has a genuine anger toward GA from the Tuttle injury last season. I could see this game being quite chippy.
