In four SEC games this season:

Tennessee's allowed 2,104 yards and 173 points

That's 526 yards per game and 43 points per game.

Our secondary is unbelievably bad. I don't even really think it's that they don't have ability (although tackling is horrendous), they just don't look like they know what they're supposed to be doing. New scheme getting the best of them I guess.

We knew it would take time when we switched to the 3-4. Factor in the teams we've played so far in conference, and that's asking a lot.

Good coaches understand the time it takes for players to adapt to your scheme. They adapt their system to the players to so that it works as best as possible. Find the best pieces to fit.

This staff has yet to do that.

Switching to a 3-4 was a horrible idea.
Agreed. Dooley has proven multiple times to be a horrible hiring manager.

After the debacle that was his original hires, you'd think he would have learned his lesson. Instead he goes with another Saban assistant and radically changes his D coming into a year where the offense was going to put up points.

The more we see, the more I'm at a loss to explain what Dooley does well. He's not a good tactician. Not a good gameday coach. Not a good administrator of the program. And honestly an average recruiter.

So someone explain to me why he should be given another year?

But we are overlooking the fact that the teams we've played are some of the top teams in the country. when you think big picture its more reasonable to expect our defense to be this than a top ranked defense at this point. We will look better the back half of the season because of the competition down grade and time in the system.

The offense could help out too.

6.5avg passing and 2.9avg rushing. The pick Bray threw right to the linebacker, Bama didn't have to go very far to score.

And the offense scoring a lot, when they put up 44 points against Georgia, I believe they only scored 10 of those points starting on their own side of the field.

The defense is bad but the offense is also overrated.

Losing has been a team effort.

Because Hammy screwed the pooch on his contract. Not saying he should be given another year, but if he is, that's why. But Hart will be trading one problem for another, because fans will stop coming, donations will be down and season tix won't be renewed. Fans will only take so much, and most have hit the wall.

This problem existed last year also.

The players seem to lack in basic fundamentals a LOT and that falls on the responsibility of the coaches.
