There were more Bama fans than normal in the south end zone was my point. They were scattered throughout the stadium pretty well though. So yes, I say a fifth of the stadium.I disagree with any estimates giving Bama more than 20k there last night.
There wasn't 1 Bama fan for every 5 Vols fans on the streets.
...and for all the talk about the South end zone seats in the upper deck. That's such a miniscule part of the statium. Most of those are filled with Bama tickets in any year already.
Bama attendance: 17-20k in my opinion. I was expecting more and with all of the tickets on the street...they could have had more.
I travel 7 hours for the SEC home tilts. I did NOT expect the pizz poor performance that was displayed Saturday night.
If you had been one of Ivan Pavlov's dogs you would have learned (conditioning response) what the game's outcome would be. As mentioned in a prior thread, Fulmer's teams are 1-9 in Neyland when playing a top 10 team in this decade.
And...the home team had won the last four of this series. Bud, we can twist stats until we're both blue in the face. I love following my Vols. I was disappointed by the lack of competitiveness the team has shown this year and I voiced it last night at the game. I got the "Phil must go" chant started in Z11.
