We only had 7 picks as a defense last year? McCoy had 4 and I remember Arion got one in the Florida game, if Brooks had 4, then that’s at least 9 interceptions

What makes Aguilar a good candidate for all those top tens? Optimism ?

He has the physical tools. He is in a system that simplifies decision making for the QB. He is surrounded by more talent than he ever has been before. I believe being in a system like ours will help with his perceived turnover issues. If he has a year like Nico did last year or improves at all, I think we could very easily win 9+ games.

He's also playing against faster, better defenses than he's ever seen. He's learning a new playbook that he's never known. He's only had a short period of time to even know his teammates (the talent surrounding him). He's joining an offense that's run first. Seems like we should play a down of football with the guy before the hyperbole starts and we start a countdown thread to greatness. He may not even be the starter at game 4 for all we know.

He plays against our defense everyday at practice. He will be fine.

It’s more likely that a QB in Heupel’s offense is going to reach the top ten in any category than another position, especially with the turnover at other positions. Just trying to anticipate where we can look for more opportunities to break records or rise up the ranks.

I will remove and add categories throughout the season as the games progress.
