Maybe I'll go MTV and unplugged.

My biological father contacted me in 2003 while I was deployed to the gulf. How did he find me? Through a search engine where the KNS provided my dang email address.

I shake him off when I transfer and hadn't heard from him until....today.

He contacts me again, this time via Myspace.

I may have to go to the private profile. Gah.

I'm always amazed at how many people are worried about the government being big brother - there is more information available about a person via commercial means than the government would ever have.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine on Myspace. Her biological father contacted her through myspace this year for the first time in 9 years. She basically blew him off because 9 years ago he disappeared and just stopped paying for her college without ever saying anything. She did let him know that her stepfather legally adopted her so she could recive benifits from his job and go back to school for free.

This information age is waaaaaayy overated. Simple privacy is the biggest casualty and that really sucks.

I don't care having my friends contact me. Ex-girlfriends, kids I went to 1st grade with, heck it's all good. Heck even new friends through the internet.

But come on, man. It's been almost 22 years. Give it up. I did.

My dad's biological father left him (to tend the farm) with his mom when he was only 10.My grandmother took him to the doc and he told her the farm chores were was going to kill him.My dad and his biological are gone now but he had a great stepdad, his real dad.I have made it clear to him. his stepdad that I appreciate what he did and that he was my dad's real dad. That biological stuff is bullcrap sometimes! It's the one who raised you that counts.

I don't know about overrated. For business its a god send. Being able to connect anytime anywhere. It all goes back to man. How are you going to use this tech that has been created for good or bad. Look at the gun. Used in a good sence by some used in a bad sence by others. Its just how you use it.
