I fully expect this to be a much improved unit with all the depth, talent and experience we have returning. With guys like Hall, Jones, Richmond, Smith and company out there i really like where our line currently sits. With that being said, how do you think they line em up to start the season? Does Smith lay claim to one of the tackle spots by the opener? Does Richmond continue his development and take the other? Lets see those bold predictions!

Sorry, but IMO its too early to speculate. Wait til we get em all back August before we compare and contrast.

No earthly idea other than Coleman Thomas will start somewhere, anywhere. He must have compromising pictures of Jones.

LG: Robertson/Kendrick
C: Coleman Thomas
RG: Jones/Boulware
RT: Hall

Hall is easily our most talented lineman with Robertson.

This is closest to my thoughts as well. Whole lot of talent on this one, cant see how it couldnt be successful barring injuries

When healthy, Coleman is a good ballplayer.

Drew is the one who has much room for improvement. He needs to be smelling what the Rock has cooking...

I agree with you butcha. I do agree with the other guys the posted listed except for position. I think Coleman Thomas might be our starting C & Robertson at LG.

There's also a chance that Trey Smith is that good & takes one of these tackle positions away. It could be a variation of starting combinations especially if Hall doesn't stay healthy. I see the starters as:

LT Drew Richmond or Trey Smith/Marcus Tatum
LG Jashon Robertson/Vinzell Boulware/Riley Locklear
C Coleman Thomas/Tatum or Boulware
RG Brett Kendrick or Jack Jones/Riley Locklear
RT Chance Hall or Trey Smith/Tatum

Ryan Johnson & Nathan Niehaus could see some action sparingly especially if the injury bug hits the OL.

Our OL is gonna be a force for at least the next 4-5 seasons. They got that part right, finally.
Now on to the DL and secondary.

I actually agree with you Anthony. Except I don't see Tatum anywhere near the C position, and I think Kendrick gets some work at RT and Johnson sees time at G.

Isn't it great to have so many legit options thst it's hard to decide a starting 5, rather than not being able to find 5 starters?

The O line is my favorite position group for this year. You could make a case for a number of different guys to start.

im hoping they can get tatum a redshirt this year

If Kendrick is healthy he may start at LT too but I think they want to use him as a OT backup.

Not a lot of dropoff from the starters to the backups which is a good thing.

If Kendrick starts at LT.. We have failed miserably at recruiting Tackles
