I see it this way.

Pg-Austin
SG-Hubbs
SF-Richardon
PF-Reese
C-Turman

I don't think some realize what a good point guard CCM recruited in Austin. I like the lineup, but the question mark is going to be on Turman. Can he compete at this level this fall. Not a lot of inside scoring. Moore will be hard to keep out of the rotation.

I've seen him play a few different styles, depending on his personnel...he can run and press like Bruce did his 1st 3 years or drive to the basket and kick out for 3's,then turn around and full court press or half court trap... you haven't seen this style in 5 years at UT...

I think our offense this year is best suited for a dribble drive style similar to what Cal has used. It plays to the strengths of Hubbs and Josh, but Josh greatly improved his 3 point shooting and if Hubbs gets his shoulder straight then he could get his percentage up too and we could be suited for his kick out offense as well.

I know no one got to really see Hubbs, but he was a 5* and I think him and
JR could slash a lot of teams with penetration and if we can find another outside shooter, with defenses playing back to avoid penetration,or collapsing the paint,it could be fun watching again...

We'll see who stays, who goes, which recruits stay, which leave, etc.

It's tough as hell for a new coach to keep commitments. Neither Bruce nor Cuonzo could do it here for the most part in their first year.

I'd look for another juco or two to fill out the roster, and from what I've saw from Tyndall's jucos, they can likely average more than .9 points and 1 rebound like Pops did this year.

Josh Richardson will thrive in this system... As in a year in this system wreaking havoc on D could make him a lot of money.

AJ Davis is athletic enough to be a benefactor of Tyndalls style, he could make the other teams big men suffer, running them up and down the court especially in press situations. Dont sleep on AJ. I am just glad this guy wants to coach at UT and I hope we get behind him and give him the support he deserves until proven otherwise

Bump. Donnie said he has contacted 3 of the 4 signees and it sounded like they're staying. Any ideas who he talked to (and who he didn't).

Didn't talk to Cofer, simply because the kid was in school. Sounds like all 4 will stick.

What I found interesting was he said we've got our eyes on 4-5 guys who are late qualifiers or opening their rceruitent after coaching changes.
