According to Memory Alpha, Strange New Worlds takes place after Pike's time on Discovery during a second stint as captain of the Enterprise.

Nurse Chapel and Dr. M’Benga are also going to be on the show, suggesting the era is closer to Kirk than it is to “The Cage”.

If you were a TNG fan and aren’t watching Picard season 3. Start now. No doubt the best of the Picard seasons. But a great blend of nostalgia and new.
