I know it has nothing to do with the Vols directly, but it has a lot to do with baseball. All time Cardinal great dies at 92. Sad day for all of baseball.

My dad went to high school with his son at CB in St. Louis. He said Stan was a class act all the way.

As inscribed on the Musial Statue outside Busch Stadium: "Here stands baseball's perfect warrior. Here stands baseball's perfect knight."

I've heard the same thing from people I know that met him. Even though he played for that other team on the other side of the state, he was one of the greatest and baseball lost a great one.

When non baseball people say 'Stan the Man" from their subscious; and have no idea who Musial was, you know the scope of his impact. Babe Ruth of his era.

Class act for sure.

On my 9th birthday, sitting behind the visitor's dugout at old Seals Stadium in San Francisco, he was asked to share a photograph with the birthday boy and said, " Sure and I'll give my best Pepsodent smile." Not only that, gave a free signed "Happy Birthday, Stan Musial" baseball. This kid walked on air.

Yeah, I know, I'm old.

Good bye #6, God's speed to you. . .
