Spring Report Card

The report is pretty dead on. I really thought the receivers looked solid. Denarius Moore looked really fast as well Brandon Warren looking like a more beefed up version of Dwayne Jarret.

Brandon Warren just isn't even fair for a covering CB. He could have a really solid year, if he is used right.

I think Ingham (sp?) is going to be a surprise and win the starting kicking job.

Agreed. Ingham looked like the scholarship Junior and Lincoln looked like the walk on freshman. Lincoln seems to be a head case right now. Based on Saturday, Ingham could very well be the starting kicker this year.

The 20 yarder in the 3rd quarter by Lincoln was plain terrible. It never had a chance. I understand the right hash is hard for right footers but, come on. He's a Junior for god sakes, and it was a spring game. It's not like he was kicking at the Swamp or Tusky town.

After 'reviewing the film' the following kind of jumped off the screen to me:

- O lineman seemed noticable slimmer, quicker and more explosive off the line. They don't look like waddling dough boys anymore.

- WR's looked like they were playing faster. Hancock looked big and fast. Warren looks like he might have finally found a position. Moore looks like he's improved.

- Tony Williams jumped off the screen at me. He appears to be a lot quicker than I had imagined and runs with authority. Body type and running style reminds me of James Stewart.

- Tauren Poole looks like a poor man's Emmit Smith. Similar build and quick cuts with power.

- QB's still a question mark as the D was handcuffed.

- Defense looks fast.
