Spring Practice Updates Day 4

Does anyone know how to post pics from phone without allowing people to see my location etc? I have been to three spring practices so far and will be at a few more so I was going to post some of my own pics and videos but wanted to ensure my privacy. If not no big deal just thought I would share a perspective other than the media.

Pretty sure you can just attach it. You can preview post first before posting. But look forward to seeing them.

I know if you post it as a link from an image hosting site like imgur, they strip the photo of the exif data

Boise would be lucky to go 6-6 each year in the SEC.. one game anything can happen, but play 7-8 conference games in a row.. no way
That's actually a compliment to Boise St and their staff. They rejoice if they get a 4 star to even visit their program much less land one. Their team is primarily 3 stars and less. Going 6-6 in the SEC with that talent would get a guy coach of the year in SEC.

Turn off location before you take pictures!

If you are at practice we pretty much already know your location don't we? :)

Hard to coach a lot mid level players to compete in the SEC...Jones's experiment of having a small team that was going to be the "Fastest in the SEC' created a team will no push on either side of the ball.. Hard to change that overnight until you recruit bigger stronger players in

I think better coaching and play calling will offset much of this. I think about Mizzu and Vandy when Franklin was there, Ole Miss under Freeze. They didn't have the talent UT has but they were well coached and called plays that the players could actually execute, unlike the previous staff.

I think in 1952, General Neyland had Doug Atkins listed at something like 5'10" 180lbs, the following year in the NFL he magically became 6'8" 250 lbs??? Maybe Pruitt keeping cards close to his vest?? :dunno:

.

Probably so. I just can't ever recall a UT Football Roster that doesn't include height and weight of the players.

Not speaking for smokey0265, but I agree with his sentiment and I'm here to get updates on the progress of my team and try to mold that information into some form of optimism for the future.

I'm also trying hard to ignore all of the stale coach-bashing posts aimed at a bunch of guys who, as far as I can tell, tried their best and failed and who are no longer working at UT. And I'm trying to skip over all of the silly speculative conclusions about how much better this coaching staff is than those guys were. As if any of us can possibly know that sitting here today.

The coaches we had the last few seasons were all experienced guys with good resumes who looked like promising hires when they came on board, too. Hell, some of them were arguably more promising than anyone we have on staff today.

Remember how stoked we all were to get Shoop? He was seen as a can't-miss hire by pretty much everyone in cfb. Remember how great we thought Warren would be for our defensive backfield when we got him from UNC? How about "The Rock" as S&C coach? Remember how the players raved about how much better he was making them? Butch was pretty much universally praised for going out and getting the best. He was looking like a genius after hiring Debord, who we all thought was a terrible hire at the time.

And here we are again getting excited about a coaching staff that is 0-0 at Tennessee. And bashing the old staff, who pretty much everyone loved before we saw the results on the field. So maybe we should just enjoy the updates and discuss our hopes for the future and stop trying to pretend we as a fan base know anything about coaching.

This is not directed at you. Just something I think a lot of us see, but many don't for some reason.

You said it so much better than I. My point exactly. But bash away at me.

The constant “Butch did...” and “leadership reps” etc etc can be annoying and yet are very ignorable. My issue was his use of the “I’m not mad at you” “get back to me when we win” stuff. Get what YOU want out of a thread without preaching to the rest of us what WE should be wanting. And that’s not directed at you...just a segment of the board that hired you as their spokesman. :hi:

I'm not mad at you for your quote. I just feel getting excited now is silly. Win games then we get excited. But to each their own.

I ended with to each their own. Meaning I don't care what you do. I post my thoughts and I don't care how you choose to handle the off season.

Yep.
Every new coaching staff is so much better than the recently fired one.
Until they aren’t.
Here’s hoping we break that cycle this time.

3 posts in response really sells that nonchalance. :eek:k:
