As a fan from far away London can somebody please explain why we do not play one or two matches in the spring against "cupcake" teams instead of scheduling them in the fall.
This/these matches could be used by the coaches like week 1 of the pre season in the NFL i.e start with the 1st team then a great chance to look at Strout, JJ Petersen, Lampley etc.
The play calling can be fairly vanilla if you don't want tape of the "best" plays and I know people may get hurt but its no fun going up against the likes of Trey Smith (good luck big fella) at practice daily.
