Give us a look at fundamentals. What is the defense working on? What is the offense working on? What else shold be looking at for signs to come?

my guess is the coaches are going to try and run and grind those guys into the ground and work them harder then they have ever been worked just to see who is going to step up to the challenge and who is going slack and give it everything.

I was wondering too if they had announced how open practices are going to be. I have heard that they are going to be more open than when Phil was here which I think is a good thing, but I wonder if they are just going to have certain days where they give boosters and media total access or is it going to be everyday.

I suspect it will be physical and will be surprised if QB's get green shirts at all... creating the probability that at least one of them gets hurt but also that CLK knows what he's got when the real shooting starts.

The coaches - and players - will be working their tails off. Not only does CLK and crew have to asses the ability of each individual player, but they also have to install an offensive and defensive system at the same time. It's going to be a tough job. The win/loss outlook doesn't look great for next year, but we should see some improvement by game six or seven. We have some very good coaches, but it'll still take time. Regardless of our loosing record last year, we still have some talented players coming back. I, for one, am just going to enjoy seeing a kid being "coached up", and excited about playing football again!! Go Vols!!!!!!

I know practice starts Tuesday, but does anyone know what time? I'm thinking of finding out just how "open" these practices are and showing up to watch.

How long do you guys think it will take CDR to figure out who the starting QB will be?

i'm just going to harken back to what Kiffin has said about what his practices are going to be like going forward.......Competitive.

i think this staff will have a lot of evaluating to do. they've really tried to set the tone from a work ethic standpoint with the off season work out regiment.

this staff, if they want to win now, has to find out who can and can't play in their system. Plus this staff has to get it together amongst themselves.....this will be their first opportunity as a group to "manage" this program in a real football setting.

i don't know how much should be expected this early on, but i do think it will be interesting. open practices should relay a lot of varying opinions......

i can't wait either, even though i might not be expecting leaps and bounds to be made in such a short time frame.
