Sports Talk in Chatanooga reveals "Big Fish" (rumor)

If you consider Cali an hour south of Knox then that is where I am from...

Brunetti did not have an offer on the table from TN when he committed to WV. He has been quoted saying countless times since he was in knoxville for camp that he would love to have an offer from TN. Now he does hence the rumors he may de commit from WV..

obsessive finger licking and having to look at the 5 fat rolls on his forehead.

:hi:Bulldoggie, your georgiridiot comment caused me to remember an old addage: "Tis better to thought a fool than open your mouth {keyboard} and prove people right."

Put your keyboard in the drawer or garbage can. You'll do much better reading without posting.

I thought I heard we offered him a long time ago? Can someone confirm that? Cause I would have sworn that he talked about in an article being offered by his instate/favorite team

explain yourself

Three reasons:

1) I think Legeux is a more polished passer at this point.

2) I'd rather have a 3* QB who plays in LA, one of the top 7 states to play football in than a 4* QB from Memphis (Tennessee isn't the place for great football)

3) And while it's not that big of a deal, Legeux has better size than Brunetti.

99% sure we offered him the shortly before he committed to West Virginia.

Still think he ends up at Tennessee if we put effort into recruiting him.

while i agree with 1 and 3, your star ranking doesn't have to do at all with where you play or who's in your state. it's not like better qbs in your state diminish your stars or anything...

I think too many people are underestimating WVU with Brunetti. I'm not convinced he will switch to UT even if we put the full-court press on him.

Kansas isnt exactly a "power" state to recruite but wait er uhh...nm. Talent is talent. Its not all about the competition you face. Its recruiting an individual talent. Competition faced is just a fraction of what recruiters add up in their magic formula. We have some awesome talent evaluators of talent. I'll trust their judgement.

Who cares where he is from? If we get a QB, it doesn't matter if he is from TN or Alaska I just want someone that can step in a make an impact and learn the offense...Whether it be Brunetti, Munchie, or whoever...Where they are from doesn't matter...IMO...If they are good the talent they played against in high school won't matter IMO

I agree, but still competition matters. Let's take Chris Donald. Five Star guy from Huntingdon, Tennessee. Yet he wasn't ready to even remotely sniff playing time. Then you see a bunch of 3* star guys from Texas making an impact their sophmore years. A lot of it is talent against who you play in HS.

exacty look at crompton coming out he was the number 3 qb in the country and look at who number 15 was colt mccoy colt played in texas and crompton played in north carolina that tells u that where u play makes a huge difference.JMO

I'd rather have Bray. Kid had the size and the upside to do well in a PS offense. Bray has outdone himself in QB competition. Brunetti has not competed as well as Bray in these head to head QB battles. JMO
