Mickey Dearstone just said if it came down to a QB that could take them to 12-0 (but showboated) or a QB that could go 10-2 (but played with the class of Erik Ainge), he would choose 10-2.

I appreciate the spirit of that, but those of us who live in the real world disagree.

"You play, to win the game."

Dearstone is why I stopped listening to morning sports talk. He knows nothing about sports other than girls BB.

I bet he'd get over it if we went 12-0. It's amazing how accepting fans can become when the wins are piling up.

just win baby....look no further than Phil. Win out, win the bowl and all is forgiven.....until Florida runs us out of the stadium next year.

Not even sure why this is an issue. If you are 12-0 you are backing up your show boating antics. May aggravate but GA said, winning cures.

Anybody who would willingly choose 10-2 over 12-0 is either out of their mind or lying to themselves or, most likely, both.

That being said, what is showboating? Is it Favre running around with his hands in the air after a TD pass? Manning directing the band after a win? Tebow inciting the home crowd? The away crowd?

I am naturally biased, but the only one I really don't like of those examples is Timbow waving his arms at the crowd on the road. There is something that crosses the line from intense to arrogant and from excited to individualistic in my mind. If we had a quarterback who did that, I would wish he didn't. I would not trade two wins to make him stop, though.

That entire show is an embarassment. Dearstone's only purpose in life is to attempt to force women's basketball on everyone, Jeff Jacoby's only contributions are vapid stories about when he played at Tennessee Tech 170 years ago, and Heather Harrington is there to giggle. Really great radio.

The show is almost unbearable. I listen sometimes on my way to work to make me feel better about myself.

i dont really care to listen to it, but if anything makes me turn my radio off it's heather. she knows nothing about sports. she sits there and waits for a wide-ranged subject to come up so that she can say a sentence.

Heather Harrington might be a 7 out of 10. That is the only thing to say about the show. If that's even saying anything at all

Just for argument's sake Mikey Dearstone played baseball in college and set some kind of record if If what someone was telling me is true. Therefore he has to be a little more cultured than Women's basketball, even though sometimes it seems that's not true.

75% of the time, Heather makes more sense than Mickey... that tells you all you need to know, right there.

After the Florida game Mickey was playing the whole "You fans just need to quit your b*tchin and whining role. To the point of getting on peoples (I say people, I mean me) nerves.

He comes off as very condesending on the radio. I don't know him personally. I know some of his family which they are nothing like him or should I say his radio personality.

I don't know how any sports commentator with a swimsuit poster could expect to be taken seriously as anything other than a piece of ass.

And somebody actually pays him to say stuff like this.

We really shouldn't expect anything better out of Dearstone. He is suffering the effects of oxygen deprivation caused by having his head alternately stuck up the a$$es of Mike Hammond and Pat Summit for the last 20 years.
