Maybe it's just my hatered for them showing, but I really don't see bama being that good this year. Seems like Saban has been slipping some recently against teams with mobile QBs but we'll see I guess.

As for us just making any bowl would be great.

Not that it really means anything, but they have Oklahoma and Alabama playing in the Rose, with Oregon and FSU in the Sugar.

But ,the playoff assignment process is still supposed to refer back to the bowls' conference partnerships whenever possible, meaning OU vs. Bama in the Sugar and Oregon vs. FSU in the Rose.

Im gonna guess another Auburn/Oregon Title game. Bama might slip in but not sure about their QB situation. I dont see a bowl this year for the vols.:boobies:

If they are correct, my pitchfork and torch are at the ready for a march on Gainesville.

I'll be carrying my official copy of the "idiot's guide to burning mattresses" with me

I agree.

I don't even recall which is the Birmingham Bowl. Was it previously the Continental Tire Bowl, or something like that?

It was once called the All-American bowl. I actually saw Emmitt Smith play in the late 80's versus Illinois. That bowl lasted around 15 years. Then I think it went to Compass Bowl. Legion Field is a ghost of it's past prominence.

YW.

On that note, did anyone else have no clue that the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl's legal name is the Valley of the Sun Bowl?

Apparently the Continental Tire Bowl is now the Belk Bowl. And it's in North Carolina so I'm not sure what I was thinking.
